Property sales in Italy increased by 16.4%

The number of deals in real estate for the period between October and December 2016, increased by 16.4% compared with the same period in 2015. Totally over 1 million objects were purchased in 2016.
According to the Italian Revenue Agency, for the first time since 2011, the number of transactions in Italy has exceeded 1 million and reached 1,141,012, says Italy24.
In the last quarter of 2016, the number of transactions in the residential sector increased by 15.2%, while the growth for the entire year was 18.9%. The number of transactions with accessory properties, basically cellars, garages, and parking spaces show a +19.2% for the entire year.
Among the major cities in Italy, the leader in quarterly sales growth showesTurin (+ 25.2%), followed by Bologna (+ 20%) and Naples (+ 17.4%). In Milan, the number of transactions increased by 10.4%. Only in Rome (+ 8.7%) and Florence (+ 6.8%) were below the 10% mark.
